The Role

Due to the rapid growth of our company and one of our busiest periods, we are looking for motivated and experienced, full time, Audio Visual Installation Technicians that will report to the ACT Delivery Manager.

$80,000 – $100,000 per year

Responsibilities  

  • Install, move and modify audio visual equipment and other related equipment according to job specifications, standards and procedures
  • Basic understanding of IT networks
  • Connecting systems, i.e., patching in equipment racks
  • Strong understanding of cable infrastructure and termination
  • Properly mount (secure, level, centre) various equipment including LCD’s, projectors, speakers and other audio visual equipment
  • Read and interpret schematic diagrams and drawings
  • Provide feedback to project engineers when required
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions
  • Following standardised test procedures
  • Systems functionality testing
  • Maintain and repair equipment according to manufacturer recommendations and specifications
  • Maintain and report accurate records of hours and materials used
  • Train the customer on system use and how to obtain system maintenance if required
  • Undertake service calls when required
  • Perform additional functions incidental to installation activities
  • The ability to read and comprehend drawings
  • Troubleshooting ability
  • Knowledge of the AV Industry and working components
  • Knowledge of AV Control Systems and programming

 

Skills and Experience 

  • Experience and training with Crestron, QSC, Extron is highly regarded 
  • Must have trade experience and be mechanically minded.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to coordinate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Highly organised, enthusiastic, and motivated. 
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365

 

Requirements

  • Must possess a white card  
  • Must be an Australian citizen 
  • Hold a valid unrestricted NSW/ACT driver’s license 
  • A thorough understanding of health and safety regulations and requirements.
  • Be mature, well presented and hold themselves to the highest of standards.
