This is a unique opportunity to join the Geelong Arts Centre team in the role of Creative Engine Venue Supervisor.

Reporting to the Presenter Services Coordinator, the Creative Engine Venue Supervisor is responsible for the event delivery for all studio hirers including dance schools, creative developments, filming, performances, workshops, and functions. They will provide outstanding customer relationship management and act as the main contact for all stakeholders using the studio spaces outside of business hours.   


This is an exciting time to join with the $140.4M Little Malop Street Redevelopment underway.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in management customer expectations and provision of high quality customer service.
  • Demonstrated experience in the delivery of a wide variety of events, including workshops, classes, meetings & functions.
  • Posses excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a small team with minimal supervision.

Desirable attributes include:

  • Experience in a hospitality environment.
  • Experience in operating audio visual systems.
  • Knowledge of safe work practices and emergency procedures.
  • High level of administrative skills and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, web based systems and data bases.
  • Ability to provide a cheerful and personalised service to all users of The Centre.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with staff and customers.
  • High attention to detail.

Daytime, evening and weekend work, will be required.

This position must maintain currency of the following:

  • Working with Children Check
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol
