Job Responsibilities:


• Daily use of wireless microphones, including frequency tuning, power management and signal path
• Live audio mixing with digital audio consoles
• Equipment set-ups and handling heavy equipment & road cases
• Lighting console operation for intelligent and conventional fixtures
• Maintenance of Entertainment technical systems, including lighting and audio, video and projection systems
• Open venues, install, set-up, operate and strike assigned ship wide and island events and activities (i.e. games shows and theme nights, band/duo/Cabaret performances, Adult/Family events, deck movies, dining room events, Youth programs, guest speakers, shopping talk, deck parties/events, atrium activities, weddings, group/conference and concierge functions, etc.)
• Responsible for operational and maintenance duties as scheduled; Duties include setting up/striking activities, operating audio, lighting, A/V, and other equipment
• Provide feedback of equipment challenges and any issues relating to consumable items to ensure good stock control
• Provide support services as scheduled, to Marketing, Groups, Crew functions, and special events
• Carry out all other duties and tasks assigned by the shipboard leadership team, including but not limited to safety duties and duties in support of other technical areas
• Preventative maintenance and routine repair of all ship wide equipment
• Maintain cleanliness of appropriate ship wide booths and lockers
• Assist with rain plans, as necessary
• Manage sound/mic checks for ship wide venues or Entertainment Host/Cruise Staff, Main Stage performer, and/or Musicians
• Equipment used: GrandMA and Hog lighting consoles, Yamaha Digital Audio consoles (M7CL and QL series), AMX control systems, Media Matrix Audio Control Systems, Fire One pyro firing system, wide range of intelligent lighting fixtures, PTZ (pan, tilt, zoom) remote cameras

Required/Desired: Experience, Qualifications, Education, Licenses:

• Minimum three years experience in a relevant Entertainment based environment
• Knowledge of computer systems or computerized control systems
• Trade school/college diploma, preferred
• Self-motivated person, able to work with little supervision
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Be able to speak, read and write fluent English
• Willingness to live and work onboard one of our vessels for a certain length of time (based on position)
• Be able to work a seven-day, 70-84 hour week with limited time off
• Be able to adhere to Disney Cruise Line appearance guidelines
• Enjoy working in a high-volume, fast-paced, guest-service oriented environment
• Be flexible with your work schedule, job duties and work locations
