Lighting Estimator

The Lightmoves Group of companies all operate within the architectural and entertainment lighting fields. This includes Lightmoves Pty Ltd who specialise in sales and system solutions, Resolution X; a lighting hire and production company, and Browns Precision Welding, a specialist metal fabricator. This role is supporting the sales activities for Lightmoves.

Previous projects delivered by the Lightmoves teams include Sydney Olympic Park Precinct, Madame Tussauds, WestConnex, Sydney Aquarium, ANZ Stadium, Fox Sport Studio and Christ Church Cathedral Newcastle just to name a few. Responsibilities

• Analyze project and tender documentation, construction drawings, and technical/functional design specifications 
• Prepare take-offs and estimations ensuring parts lists and labor cost pricings are accurate and cover all cost and contingencies 
• Maintain accurate and detailed estimating information within the systems
• Thoroughly review estimates and costs with management prior to submission
• Document control including project relevant emails and revised drawings
• Prepare technical documents including single line diagram and control methodology etc.
• Sales project administration and support

You will have the following attributes 

• Excellent attention to detail 
• Well-developed problem solving skills 
• Highly developed communication skills
• Excellent writing skills with the ability to prepare a wide variety of communication materials for internal and external audiences
• Ability to handle pressure and execute multiple tasks simultaneously

Education and/or Experience

• 1-2 years’ experience in estimation
• Engineering Degree or Engineering trades qualification
• Advanced MS Excel
• Intermediate Bluebeam and Visio
• Proven estimating and planning experience
