Full house farewells Woody

Audio community and family packed Menai Salvation Army today to say farewell to Ian Woodhouse, who passed away on July 12th from the effects of prostate cancer.

It was standing room only as all his colleagues from Technical Audio Group (which was closed today out of respect) and people from all over Australia remembered a guy who was a consummate people person.

Tributes were given attesting to his leadership and significant role in the Australian professional audio industry, which included leading ElectroVoice Australia and his own ASM distribution company that ran until the cancer distracted him.

Woodie had many friends, evidenced by the turnout today.

He leaves a son, daughter, wife, sister and grandchildren.

It was said more than once today that ‘we need more Woodies’.
