You are no doubt aware that people in the music and creative industries experience symptoms of moderate to severe anxiety and depression at rates that can be 5-10 times higher than the general population.
You would also be aware that maintaining good mental health is a great way to increase productivity and help maximise the output of your employees, and particularly your crew.
The Support Act Wellbeing Helpline is a free, confidential counselling service that is available to anyone working in Australian music who needs to talk to someone about any aspect of their wellbeing.
It is being delivered in partnership with Access EAP, and is staffed by professional counsellors who offer expertise in all areas related to mental health (e.g. depression, anxiety, addiction, suicidal feelings) as well as issues which can be mental health related (such as loneliness, relationship breakdown, financial worries, illness and workplace conflict).
The service is accessible 24 hours a day, 365 days per year by calling 1800 959 500 within Australia.Â
Support Act has developed a range of materials that can be downloaded for free from our website to help you promote the Helpline to your crew.
These include posters that can be displayed in catering or greenrooms, dressing rooms and work rooms; strip advertsthat can be included on itineraries and schedules; and banner adverts for websites and intranets. We also have artwork for stickers which can be printed – or we can provide quantities of these to you on request.
We would greatly appreciate your help in promoting the Wellbeing Helpline to your crew – and any other members of the music industry who would benefit from the service.
