Commissioning and Service Technician

 

About the Role

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Commissioning and Service Technician to join our growing Sydney team. In this dual-role position, you’ll be responsible for commissioning new AV systems and providing technical support and service for existing installations. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership of their work, and can deliver high-quality outcomes in both project and service environments.

You’ll be part of a growing team that thrives on doing things properly, solving technical challenges, and making the user experience simple and powerful.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Commission AV systems in line with design scope and functional intent

  • Interpret AV schematics and project documentation

  • Run functionality testing and provide user training where required

  • Attend project meetings and contribute to commissioning planning

  • Deliver on-site and remote support for installed systems

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and document service work

  • Maintain up-to-date industry certifications and identify training needs

  • Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and field technicians

  • Build strong client relationships through clear communication and reliable service

  • Ensure all work aligns with safety standards, company processes, and Videopro values

  • $85,000 – $100,000 per year

 

What You’ll Need

  • Solid AV or IT experience, particularly with system integration, commissioning, and servicing

  • Great attention to detail and pride in delivering quality work

  • A proactive mindset and ability to work independently

  • Strong communication and organisational skills

  • A commitment to ongoing learning and staying up to date with industry trends
