The Role

Working alongside our Project Managers, Technical Directors and national audio team, you’ll take ownership of system design, deployment and optimisation while mentoring technicians and ensuring every production is delivered to the highest technical standard.

No two days are the same. One week you may be delivering a large-scale corporate conference, the next a stadium event, premium gala dinner, televised production or touring show.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy professional audio systems for live events.
  • Lead onsite system builds, commissioning and optimisation.
  • Tune and align systems using Smaart.
  • Produce system designs and predictions using Soundvision.
  • Configure and manage Dante and Milan-AVB audio networks.
  • Lead and mentor audio technicians onsite.
  • Work closely with Project Managers during pre-production.
  • Troubleshoot complex audio and networking issues.
  • Maintain the highest standards of technical delivery and presentation.
  • Travel interstate as projects require.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about live audio and takes pride in delivering exceptional results.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Minimum five years’ experience in professional live production.
  • Extensive experience deploying and optimising L-Acoustics systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of:
    • Soundvision
    • LA Network Manager 
    • Lake Processing 
    • Smaart
    • Dante
    • Milan-AVB networking
  • Strong understanding of RF coordination and system integration.
  • Experience leading technical crews.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
  • Calm under pressure with exceptional troubleshooting ability.
  • Current driver’s licence.
  • Forklift and EWP licences are highly regarded.

L-Acoustics certification will be highly regarded but is not essential.
