Barangaroo Ferry Wharf … new facility gets audio solution

The Barangaroo Ferry Wharf will serve Sydney’s newest commercial district and provide increased capacity for ferry services to meet future demand.
Sydney’s, The P.A. People provided audio services installation for the new facility. David Duong, Commissioning Manager for construction company McConnell Dowell said: “the performance result of the audio equipment installed is excellent, providing efficient coverage of the facility and excellent announcement clarity. Ross Ford and Brett Steele were highly professional to deal with and provided substantial advice and timely responses through the project.”

The new ferry wharf will provide berthing space for additional ferry services from the Parramatta River, as well as direct access to and from the Eastern Suburbs and lower North Shore when the new ferry services timetable is released later in 2017. It will connect customers to the city centre via Wynyard Walk, a high quality pedestrian link between Barangaroo and Wynyard Station. The project includes the construction of two ferry wharves featuring fully accessible pontoons, seated waiting areas, weather protection, real-time service information and electronic ticketing using the Opal card.
