March 4 – If you’re attending the Sydney Entech show you’re in for a treat!  Gary Jackson will be selling copies of ???????????????????? ???????????????????????????? ???????? ???????????? ???????????????? ???????????????? ???????????????????? at a special price, and he’ll also be displaying heaps of memorabilia too.

Legendary Australian soundman Bruce Jackson, the ‘J’ in JANDS, worked for Elvis, Bruce Springsteen, Barbra Streisand and many of the world’s best known names at the top of their game. Along the way his inventions and innovations changed the way live concert sound is presented. Flying speakers, stageside monitor mixes and digital filters to improve CD sound through the company APOGEE he started are just part of his heritage.

Bruce was director of sound for the Sydney Olympic Games and quietly invented a host of technical innovations that will be familiar to most people in the Industry. Many will have benefited from Bruce’s generous mentoring.

Bruce was killed flying his own plane in Death Valley, California, in 2011. He left a trove of memorabilia and a fascinating live record of his day to day life on the road with Elvis in tapes and letters. His brother Gary and his wife Helen have painstakingly put together a beautiful large format, profusely illustrated book called ???????????????????? ???????????????????????????? ???????? ???????????? ???????????????? ???????????????? ????????????????????.

The book has been universally positively received around the world with effusive reviews since its publication in December 2018 by BAND BOOK PUBLISHERS. The highly acclaimed book, with a foreword by Bruce Springsteen, is available for purchase at ENTECH at a special price.

Simon Byrne is Production Manager, Jason Allen runs the Audio Demo and the Cable Rolling Competition, Alex Hughes does the Lighting Demo, Kate McKenzie is Event Manager, Cat Strom is in charge of VIP registrations, Steve James is exhibitor manager, and Julius Grafton tries to look important.

We have 3.5 semi’s full of new gear, including this enormous green thing.
