Think Bold. Build Better. Belong at Lucid.
We’re an employee-owned engineering and advisory firm where Lucid thinking drives progress. Here, you’ll explore new ideas, build your skills and make a real difference, supported by experienced people, clear development pathways and a culture where you’re encouraged to learn.
What this role is all about
We’re looking for an Audio Visual Consultant to join our growing team.
This is a great opportunity for someone in the early stages of their AV career who wants to build their technical knowledge, gain hands-on project experience and develop within a consulting environment.
Working alongside experienced consultants and engineers, you’ll support the design and delivery of audio-visual solutions across a range of projects and sectors.
You’ll gain exposure to different stages of a project, from early design and documentation through to coordination, site inspections, testing and commissioning. You’ll have plenty of support along the way, with opportunities to ask questions, learn from the team and gradually take on more responsibility as your confidence and experience grow.
How you’ll contribute day-to-day
-
Support the design and documentation of audio-visual systems.
-
Assist with AV layouts, schematics, specifications and technical documentation.
-
Help coordinate AV requirements with architects, engineers and other building services disciplines.
-
Assist with equipment selection and technical research.
-
Attend project meetings and contribute to discussions alongside senior team members.
-
Gain exposure to site inspections, testing and commissioning activities.
-
Support the team with project delivery and take ownership of tasks as your experience develops.
-
Learn about new and emerging AV technologies and how they can be used across different projects.
-
Build relationships with your team, clients, suppliers and industry partners.
What sets you up for success
-
You don’t need to know everything already. We’re looking for someone who has a good foundation and is keen to keep learning.
-
Have around 1–2 years’ experience in audio visual consulting, design, integration or a similar technical environment.
-
Have a genuine interest in AV technology and how it is used within buildings and spaces.
-
Have some understanding of AV systems and technologies, with an eagerness to develop your knowledge further.
-
Be comfortable working with technical drawings and documentation.
-
Have good attention to detail and enjoy solving problems.
-
Be confident asking questions and learning from more experienced team members.
-
Communicate well and enjoy working as part of a team.
-
Be organised and able to manage different tasks and priorities.
-
Be curious, proactive and keen to contribute ideas.
-
Want to grow your career in AV consulting and take on more responsibility over time.
