What part will you play?

Holding the title of a Resident Service Technician, as the onsite technician you will spend your time setting up the venue for events, performing maintenance on AV equipment, taking inquiries from prospective clients about the facilities and assisting clients with meetings and events. This is an interesting venue, offering events spaces and meeting rooms for hire. The venue is a beautifully maintained premium space also offering food and beverage operations and you will work closely with the Event Managers.

Your natural hospitality and high level of customer service make your clients feel cared for and confident. You will also ideally have exposure to videoconferencing equipment and the ability to conduct meetings using Teams, Zoom and Webex, and troubleshoot client laptops and media. Systems are AMX, Extron, Biamp, AKG and additional gear is regularly brought in by external AV contractors, usually with their own operator. Gaps in your experience will be assessed and training provided where required but AV experience is a must.

Hours will be Monday to Friday 8 AM to 5 PM but the applicant must be flexible to start earlier or finish later according to client bookings and very occasional weekend work.

Note: this is not an ICT Support/Technician role.

What will you be doing?

  • Providing onsite service, fault finding and technical diagnosis

  • Proactive in handling and resolving customer queries

  • Identify and implement new initiatives for improving service standards

  • Training the client on AV, VC and ICT

  • Fault finding and troubleshooting of AV and VC

  • Liaise with reception, IT and facility teams for booking requirements, facilitation and cross training

  • Understand and effectively communicate the full range of services to users and clients

  • Ensure all documentation is kept up to date

Ideal candidate experience profile:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as an onsite AV Technician or in a similar industry

  • Previous experience working on a client premises is beneficial

  • Experience with audio video & IT equipment systems is beneficial

  • Experience in video conferencing equipment is highly desirable

  • Experience in fault finding technology is beneficial

  • A passion for providing high level customer service & technical support

  • Experience using the Microsoft suite of products

  • Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residence work rights is desirable
