We’re entering an exciting phase of growth at LSC Control Systems and are seeking a talented Sales Representative to join our team.

Purpose of the Role
To develop, monitor and continually improve the position of LSC Control Systems within the Sydney and Australian entertainment, architectural, film and TV marketplaces, using all best efforts to maximise the sales of LSC products and its represented brands, by:
- Creating close contacts with consultants, specifiers, rental companies, venue operators, to position LSC as their preferred supplier;
- Increasing market awareness of LSC products and represented brands by co-ordinating and/or undertaking trade events, training and presentation seminars;
- To be a pivotal information conduit between LSC Control Systems and its customers;
- In conjunction with the Sales Manager and the Financial Controller, develop sales budgets, expenditure budgets;
- ·Providing technical support to LSC’s network of appointed Distributors, Resellers and customers as required.
Duties
Reporting to: General Manager
External Responsibilities
- Promote and sell LSC Control Systems’ products and represented brands for maximum return on investment within the Australian marketplace, concentrating on Sydney and the broader NSW market.
- Visit dealers, consultants and venues on a regular basis to keep the market abreast of LSC’s products and activity and to gain market intelligence such as upcoming or planned installations, market opportunities and competitor activities.
- Act as the first point of call for customers’ sales enquiries or help with product use or technical issues.
- Provide general sales, marketing and technical information for customers.
- Network with consultants, specifiers, production and rental companies and venue operators to gain advance knowledge of upcoming projects with a view to have LSC products specified as their preferred option.
- Monitor the marketplace for Tenders requests, Expressions of Interests, etc. and in conjunction with other LSC staff, formulate and submit proposals, liaise with consultants, track tender progress, review tender outcomes and review LSC, its Distributors and its competitors’ performance in relation to the outcomes.
- Where feasible, support the “next generation” of industry students and young people. They will be our customers of the future.Participate in any trade events as required.
- Visit the LSC Head Office several times a year as required by management.
Internal Responsibilities
- Be the first point of call for incoming phone calls and emails from customers or potential customers within your marketplace with a view to maximising sales of LSC’s or its represented products.
- Add to and maintain LSC’s CRM database of distributors, resellers, customers and prospects ensuring that the information within it is accurate and up to date.
- Using the LSC CRM database, co-ordinate a program of regular contact with Australian customers.
- Assist with the development of an Australian marketing plan, including trade events, training programs, advertising, promotional material and travel budgets.
- Maintain and monitor a range of demonstration stock.
- Be responsible for any physical assets that may be associated with this position, e.g., furniture, electronic and communication equipment, motor vehicle.
- Provide monthly activity reports to management as directed.
The Person
- Must have strong industry knowledge with a widespread contact base.
- Must have the business acumen, personality and stature to project the LSC cultural image and gain the confidence of LSC’s Distributors, customers and prospects.
- Must be strongly committed to working as a core member of a high-performance team.
- Must be a highly motivated individual who can undertake and deliver results without direct supervision.
- Must be an individual who can continually create new challenges in existing and newly identified markets
- Must have good hands-on skills with PC-based packages, particularly Office365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Must be an effective communicator, both internally with the team and externally with customers, Distributors and prospects.
- Some electronic technical knowledge will be an advantage.
- Must have a working knowledge of DMX, RDM, Art-Net, sACN, ethernet and networking.
- Some electronic knowledge will be an advantage.
- Must have a current Australian driver’s licence.
- Must have a right to work in Australia.
- Previous use of LSC products will be an advantage.
