Theatre Management Services managing The Besen Performing Arts Centre for Mount Scopus Memorial College requires the professional skills of a Senior Theatre Technician / Production Support
A well, established Performing Arts Centre, The Besen Centre is looking for the services of a proactive and self-motivated Senior Theatre Technician to work in our close-knit team in Burwood Victoria supporting both school and commercial client requirements.
Ideally you would have 7 years + experience in Live Theatre or Event Production including the use and understanding of Audio systems, Lighting systems, Fly systems for our busy venue. Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills, Google workspace / Google apps, Deputy and EventPro, strong attention to detail and follow through, are a must in this diverse role.
As the Senior Theatre Technician your role will encompass many aspects of the Theatre operation; Venue Technician – operating and setting up Lighting and Audio systems, Production coordination as required for the school and commercial clients and Front of House management.
Supporting the Theatre Manager, Manager Technical / Production and Theatre Technician, you will use your skill set to assist the school and commercial clients to stage the best events, as well as assist with the management and rostering of Ushers, Bar Staff, Cleaners, and additional Technical Staff while maintaining the highest professional standards which will keep you challenged and busy.

Skills and Experience
- Professional or tertiary qualification in Production, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience in production and event management.
- Strong detailed knowledge and experience in Lighting systems, Audio Systems and Fly Systems.
- Skills and experience in the development and delivery of projects and the negotiation and delivery of successful outcomes within a complex environment.
- Working with Children Check
- National Police Clearance
- Ability to operate all the electrical equipment within the PAC.
- Good Communication Skills
- Flexible working environment, Evening and Weekend work is required
- Ability to work without supervision.
- Competence in the use of Microsoft Office products, Google workspace/Google apps, Deputy and EventPro (training will be provided)
- Ability to work well with others and assist in creating a productive working environment.
- Ability to accept and respond to changes in practices.
- Knowledge of WH&S as they apply to current legislation.
