Auckland Live – a leader in live arts and entertainment and an active contributor to the vibrancy and creativity in Tāmaki Makaurau – has recently invested in a new VuePix Infiled Digital Stage Outdoor Platform.
Launched in January 2019, the Auckland Live Digital Stage is located in the Aotea Square, where it screens a daily program of curated arts and entertainment short films and video content.
The VuePix Team worked closely with our partner Screen-LED to design the all-in-one LED container solution for Auckland Live.
Using award-winning custom-made VuePix Infiled ER6.9 outdoor panels, the Digital Stage is mounted on a galvanized frame. Its LED screen is raised by a hydraulic telescopic mast controlled through a wireless remote controller, making set-up at just under 25-minutes a breeze.
With a LED screen an impressive 9m wide and 5m tall, the VuePix Infiled ER outdoor series panels are lightweight, slim and durable, designed to withstand harsh outdoor environments. With a pixel pitch of 6.9mm, an exceptionally high brightness of over 5000 nits and an automatic brightness sensor, the screen delivers superb visual performance in any light condition.
The LED’s storage container is fully equipped with a self-contained control room. Hydraulic outriggers allow a truck to drive straight under the container for self-loading and unloading.
Inspirational, entertaining, educational and informative, the new Auckland Live Digital Stage champions the arts while providing a vibrant, all-ages backdrop for anyone relaxing in or passing through Aotea Square.
Screening every day, the Digital Stage’s curated programme of short films and video content offers a view into the worlds of dance, music, visual arts, theatre, and film and literature, with stories and profiles of arts companies, artists, and new and existing works from New Zealand and around the world.
