Here’s your chance to bring exceptional technical production to life across two of our premier cultural venues, ensuring high‑quality lighting, staging and technical delivery for a diverse range of events.

What we’re looking for

  • At least five years’ experience in a multi‑stage arts centre, production company or theatre environment.

  • Strong expertise in lighting and lighting systems, staging, fly systems and theatre mechanics.

  • Operational competency across audio, audio‑visual, rigging and general technical production.

  • Demonstrated creativity in lighting design and the ability to interpret technical plans and client requirements.

  • Proven leadership and supervisory skills, with a strong understanding of WHS obligations.

  • Experience with ETC EOS, MA grand or Hog lighting systems, as well as CAD/Vectorworks and lighting visualisation tools.

  • Rigging certification, LR Class Driver Licence, First Aid/CPR, White Card, EWP (>11m) and Test & Tag certification (or ability to obtain).

  • Certificate III in Live Production Services and Certificate IV in Lice Production & Technical Services (or ability to obtain)

  • Strong customer service skills, a positive and team‑focused attitude, and the ability to work under pressure.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead all lighting and systems operations across CPAC, MMP and other Cultural Services venues.

  • Design, interpret and deliver lighting requirements for clients while managing resources and timelines effectively.

  • Operate and maintain lighting, audio, AV, staging and rigging systems to a high professional standard.

  • Develop standard lighting rigs and comprehensive technical documentation.

  • Oversee and deliver maintenance schedules for lighting, systems, staging, fly and rigging equipment.

  • Supervise casual technicians during bump‑in/out, performances, events and maintenance periods.

  • Work directly with clients, hirers, tour managers and performers to ensure seamless, safe and high‑quality event delivery.

  • Maintain backstage areas, support inductions, advise on set electrics, and act as Fire/Chief Warden when required.
