The Role:

A unique opportunity has become available with Harry the hirer Productions as the Venue Audio Visual Operations Coordinator. This role will allow the successful candidate to grow within a management framework by being responsible for all operational components of events in our boutique venue locations. This role requires excellent time management and leadership skills and has autonomy over how you apply your time to your deliverables. General Deliverables:

· Complete ownership for the maintenance, development and distribution of a labour roster for a team of audio visual, rigging and general labour staff.

· Use our in-house software to maintain a labour roster in which you have allocated the team across a portfolio of corporate hospitality venues.

· Provide complete first-response support to your team to assist in quick and logical resolution.

· Manage the annual leave, RDO’s and unavailability requests from your team while ensuring the needs of upcoming works within your scope and the overall needs of the business are met.

· Provide ongoing support through weekly meetings, phone calls and emails to internal sales personnel to discuss upcoming works, your planned labour resources and any specific client requests.

· Develop and maintain spreadsheets that detail key elements of your rostering allocations, issuing a weekly report to the relevant sales personnel.

· Support the growth of client relationships and understand the importance of these relationships.

Financial Deliverables:

· Plan and allocate labour resources based on monthly financial targets.

· Attend weekly financial reporting meetings to track labour expenditure and analyse your labour forecast for the remainder of the calendar month.

Logistical Management:

· Manage the planning of a dedicated logistical resource that will allow you to plan the delivery and collection of stock for projects managed by your team.

· Forecast and plan your logistical needs for projects to be serviced at weekends and those carried “out of office” hours.

Stock Management:

· Manage and maintain the company stock items and correct quantities located at selected corporate venues within your portfolio.

About You:

· Minimum 2-3 years of experience in audio visual, theatre or live event industries is required.

· Supervisor level staff and crew leadership experience is essential.

· An excellent communicator with superb people skills.

· Able to make swift logical decisions in a high-pressure environment.

· A self-motivated and driven person with excellent time management skills.

· Australian work rights are required for this position.
