Our Melbourne team is growing and is looking for an experienced technical expert to manage high-profile projects.

This role is an excellent full-time opportunity for an energetic, enthusiastic, and experienced person to join our Melbourne Productions client facing team, where there is opportunity for long term personal growth in many disciplines of technical and touring production in the event industry. 

In addition to core responsibilities, a new and developing touring division of our business offers opportunities for staff to extend in the touring music scene with local and international artists.

Key areas of responsibility will include:

  • Managing and growing client relationships and understanding the importance of these relationships.
  • Lead the end-to-end AV production process, from initial client briefings to post-event evaluations
  • Design and implement complex production solutions, including audio, video, lighting, and rigging systems, based on event needs and technical specifications.
  • Conduct site inspections and technical rehearsals to ensure systems function flawlessly on event day  
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and integrate new tools and processes to improve efficiency and performance.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, event managers and production teams to ensure Production solutions meet or exceed expectations.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, presentation and oral communication skills

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Well-presented with an outstanding customer focus.
  • Passion for delivering the highest production solutions including a high level of technical expertise. 
  • A clear and consistent record of delivering highly technical events. 
  • Ability to provide clear direction and lead production teams.
  • High-energy, confident go-getter with the ability to manage a large portfolio of clients.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of CAD / Vectorworks programs is an advantage, but not essential
  • Drivers licence and own vehicle.

We are open to considering candidates who may not come from an account manager background, but have experience via roles such as producers, technical directors, production managers and site managers.
