We are seeking an experienced Senior Venue Audio Visual Technician to join our in-house team at one of Adelaide’s premier venues, renowned for delivering an unparalleled event experience. In this hands-on role, you’ll take ownership of the technical delivery and presentation across conferences, gala dinners, and corporate functions. The goal is clear: to deliver exceptional technical production by supplying the highest standard of audio, video, and lighting.
About the Role
As a Senior Venue Audio Visual Technician, you’ll work closely with the Venue Production Manager to ensure every event not only meets but exceeds client expectations. From corporate conferences to high-end gala dinners, you’ll be trusted to deliver seamless audio, vision, and lighting solutions that reflect the venue’s reputation for excellence. You’ll combine technical expertise with client-facing professionalism, taking full ownership of the event’s technical execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of technical delivery for corporate events, conferences, and gala dinners.
- Work alongside the Venue Production Manager to deliver tailored AV solutions.
- Operate professional audio, video, and lighting systems with confidence and precision.
- Provide hands-on support to clients, ensuring flawless presentations and event delivery.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly in live environments.
- Maintain and prepare venue AV equipment to the highest standard of reliability and safety.
- Support and guide junior technicians, leading by example with a hands-on approach.
About You
- 4+ years’ experience as an AV technician, ideally in corporate or venue-based events.
- Strong technical skills across professional audio, projection/vision, and event lighting.
- Hands-on, solutions-focused, and confident in taking ownership of events.
- Excellent client-facing communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with production managers, event coordinators, and clients.
- Calm under pressure with strong troubleshooting ability.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and irregular hours in line with event schedules.
