We are looking for a Venue and Events Coordinator who is a proactive team player with a can-do attitude to support the Venue Manager across Sydney Theatre Company venues. This is a permanent full time contract.

Role Overview:

You will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of venue operations for external and internal events at The Wharf and Roslyn Packer Theatre. This is a great opportunity to work with high profile clients and artists and develop high level venue and event management skills in a leading theatre company.

What We’re Looking For:

Essential Criteria

  • Experience organising and coordinating successful events. 
  • Strong understanding of venue management and project management. 
  • Highly developed interpersonal and negotiation skills. 
  • Exceptional administration skills including written skills, attention to detail and organisation. 
  • Competent in using computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite, computer systems event management software (such as Artifax). 
  • Positive interpersonal skills and the ability to successfully interact equally well with professional associates, staff, artists, hirers and sponsors. 
  • A willingness to self-direct and prioritise workload in accordance with business needs. 
  • A willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends in accordance with business needs. 
  • A dynamic approach to improving processes and systems. 

Desirable

  • Interest in performing arts, especially theatre.
