V8 Superfest lit up with The Presets and ULA

V8 Superfest on the Gold Coast is a month-long festival of fast cars & first class entertainment, which was bought to a close on Sat November 2 in style with the GC600 Sounds Concert on Surfers Paradise beach. MPH Australia supplied the lighting for this event, which is known as the Gold Coast’s biggest Party. Clifton Productions supplied Rigging and staging.

The huge stage was set up right on the beach. The lighting rig was based on the headline act The Presets and specified by lighting designer Martin Phillips. It consisted of several VuePix LED Mesh screens (M10 and P18 panels), 22x Robin 600 LEDWash, 22x ColorSpot 1200E AT, 12x Robin 100 LEDBeam, 7x ColorSpot 700E AT and 2 Robe Haze 400 machines.

Larry Ponting was heading the production of the event with The Presets show operated by Matthew Griffiths. Together they created a spectacular lighting show, which exceeded the last year’s production. The stage was dominated by Aria Award winning electro-pop duo The Presets, supported by rock greats Grinspoon, The Stafford Brothers and DJ Brooke Evers, keeping the V8 supercars fans rocking throughout the night.
