Senior AV Technician

About the role

MAV Melbourne is seeking an experienced senior AV Technician to join our team at one of our premier CBD venues. This is a full-time position that will involve the set-up and operation of audio-visual equipment across a range of corporate events.

What you’ll be doing

• Set-up, test and operate audio-visual equipment such as audio systems, screens, vision mixers, cameras, video conferencing solutions and event lighting

• Provide on-site support and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance of MAV’s AV systems

• Liaise with clients to provide technical expertise and deliver on their event requirements

• Collaborate with the wider team to identify and implement improvements to AV systems and processes

• Provide leadership, training and mentoring of junior team members

• Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and procedures

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience as an AV Technician or similar role, with a minimum of 3 years in the industry

• Strong technical knowledge of audio-visual equipment, including projectors, vision mixers, audio systems, and video conferencing

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients

• Currently working or previously employed working inhouse at AV venues is an advantage
