Casual & Freelance AV Technicians, Operators and Riggers

Technical Events is growing, and we’re expanding our casual and freelance pool of technicians and operators across audio, lighting, vision and rigging. 

We’re keen to hear from people at all stages of their career, from juniors through to senior technicians and operators. You don’t need to tick every box. If you have strengths in one or more disciplines and a great attitude, we’d love you to apply. 

What we’re looking for 

• Experience in the audio-visual events industry 
• Skills in one or more areas: audio, lighting, vision or rigging 
• Familiarity with digital audio consoles, vision switchers, IT systems, and lighting systems (basic and intelligent) 
• Licensed event riggers encouraged to apply 
• Professional presentation and confidence in corporate environments 
• Reliable, punctual, and able to prioritise tasks 
• Flexible and proactive approach to work hours and responsibilities 
• Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently when required 
• A genuine interest in learning and developing new skills 
• Excellent customer service and communication skills 
• Current driver’s licence required (driving trucks to site may be part of the role) 
• EWP licence desirable but not essential
