We require an experienced AV Engineer to join our growing Workplace Technology team that focuses on corporate Audio Visual, Smart Building, and Network solutions.  Working both in pre-sales and post sales engineering, the right candidate will have a can-do attitude, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and have a friendly, professional client facing personality.  The position requires a combination of technical knowledge, reporting, and client relationship skills.  You will be provided with a company laptop & mobile phone as part of your salary package, which is negotiable based on proven experience.

You will ideally be an experienced AV engineer with a strong track record of success in high-end commercial integrated Audio-Visual systems. You will need an excellent understanding of all aspects of Audio Visual technologies utilised in a modern business setting and how these integrate to create solutions that improve business performance. 

Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed designs of Audio Visual solutions
  • Creation of Visio drawings including schematics, elevations, floor plans, rack layouts, etc
  • Collaboration with sales teams on efficient and effective designs for proposals 
  • Ensure a strong focus on customer satisfaction and the efficient delivery of projects
  • Collaboration with project management teams 
  • Collaboration with installation teams 
  • Collaboration with end users 
  • Liaise with clients and project stakeholders 
  • Help create system manuals 
  • Keep up to date with continued development with regular vendor training 
  • Comprehensive customer relations with the ability to relay highly technical information to any level of customer; coupled with an ability to grow and represent the brand whilst maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction 
  • Be able to present a strong portfolio of relevant projects/service experience and have proven testing, commissioning and support skills
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with vendors and suppliers 
  • Be able to travel as the role requires on projects with occasional interstate travel

Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years in AV systems design 
  • AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) ideally with CTS-I and CTS-D qualifications would be well regarded 
  • Experience with AV solutions eg. Creston, Extron, Q-SYS, Biamp, Shure
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams Room solutions and hardware partners eg. Logitech, Cisco, Yealink, Neat, Poly
  • Understanding of converged communications and video conferencing solutions like Microsoft Teams, Webex, Zoom, Pexip 
  • Experience with IP networks and network equipment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Visio
  • Solid problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail 
  • Ability to operate and deliver independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate with a broad stakeholder group
  • Working knowledge of analogue and digital electronics, qualifications preferred
  • A passion for providing a high-level of customer service 
  • Strong and clear communication skills, both written and verbal 
  • Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines 
  • Current valid driver’s licence
