Installation Theatrical Engineering (ITE) is a leading specialist in theatre engineering, stage machinery, and integrated AV systems. We design, manufacture, and deliver complex solutions for theatres, venues, and major building projects across Australia and internationally.

We are seeking an AV Estimator / Project Manager to take ownership of AV projects from initial enquiry through to completion.

Australian citizenship is required for this position.

The Role

This is a hands-on role combining AV design, estimating, and project management.

You will:

• Review project requirements, drawings, and specifications

• Develop AV system designs for theatre and venue applications

• Prepare cost estimates, proposals, and quotations

• Manage client communication during tender and delivery phases

• Take ownership of projects from award through to completion

• Coordinate procurement, installation, and commissioning

• Work closely with internal engineering and programming teams

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who can design, price, and deliver AV systems, not just manage projects.

You will:

• Have experience in AV integration, live production, or theatre systems

• Possess 3-5 years of experience in AV integration, live production, or theatre systems

• Be confident designing AV systems (audio, video, control)

• Have experience with estimating or quoting AV projects

• Demonstrate capability to independently prepare quotes for AV projects

• Be comfortable managing clients, builders, and consultants

• Be organised and capable of running multiple projects simultaneously

• Take ownership and drive outcomes

Ideal Backgrounds

• AV integrator (design + delivery experience)

• Theatre / venue technical background

• Live production transitioning into integration

• Programmer / commissioner looking to step into PM/estimating

Salary

• Competitive salary based on experience

• Opportunity for performance-based bonus

• $85,000 – $115,000pa + super
