Salary Range: $80029.58 to $93006.52 per annum + super (subject to skills and experience)

Glen Street Theatre is a busy 400 seat professional theatre, located on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, at Belrose in the Glen Street Cultural Hub. The theatre delivers an engaging annual performing arts program for all ages and tastes.

Our opportunity :
We’re looking for a Senior Theatre technician to join our technical services team.
As a Senior Theatre Technician at The Glen Street Theatre, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of all technical aspects of our productions. You will work closely with our operations and technical teams to create unforgettable experiences for our audiences.
The key focus areas of this role include:
1) Lead, plan and realise technical production requirements ensuring high quality event delivery.
2) Coordinate, lead and maintain accurate technical maintenance and maintenance schedules ensuring on going functionality and reliability of the venue technical equipment.
3) Assist with ongoing technical staff training by sharing and upskilling technical knowledge across the team. Ensuring current and future team members can deliver a high standard of service for our clients.
4) Assist in office and show planning including rostering, show specific paperwork. Completion of all post show reporting. Ensure an organised and seamless customer experience.
5) Act as chief warden or warden when emergency procedures are activated to ensure the safety of patrons, performers, and co-workers.
6) Maintain venue condition on a day-to-day basis ensuring the spaces are fit for client use.
7) Work collaboratively with all the venue services team ensuring an integrated and high-quality customer service delivery.
About you :
The successful applicant will have a Tertiary Level Certification in theatre or live performance, or considerable professional experience in a live performance or venue environment. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the planning, design, implementation, and operation of technical services for a broad range of live performance events.
