Join the VLA Productions Team as an account manager

Are you passionate about live events, sound, lighting, and creating unforgettable experiences? VLA Productions — a leading production and AV company known for delivering top-tier live sound, lighting, and event management — is expanding, and we’re looking for talented, creative, and dedicated individuals to join our growing crew.

About the Role — Account Manager

As a VLA Account Manager, you are the bridge between our clients, venues, and production teams. You’ll manage relationships with promoters, corporate clients, festival organisers, and venue partners — ensuring every project is delivered flawlessly from concept to completion.

This is a hybrid role combining office‑based planning with hands‑on involvement at events and venues.

Range:

$100,000 – $115,000 per year plus paid overtime

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage client relationships across festivals, concerts, corporate activations, and venue partners

  • Oversee event and venue bookings, scheduling, and production requirements

  • Scope projects, prepare accurate quotes, and build budgets based on technical needs

  • Coordinate with audio, lighting, vision, staging, and rigging teams

  • Attend events and venue operations to ensure smooth delivery and client satisfaction

  • Troubleshoot issues on‑site and maintain VLA’s reputation for excellence

  • Advise clients on technical solutions and production options

  • Ensure proposals align with real‑world production capabilities

Critical Technical Requirement

Account Managers must have a strong working knowledge of pro‑grade live production equipment, including:

  • Audio: DiGiCo, Allen & Heath, L‑Acoustics, d&b, Nexo, Funktion‑One

  • Lighting: grandMA, Robe, Clay Paky, Martin, Chauvet

  • Vision: LED walls, Disguise/Resolume media servers, live video systems

  • Staging & Rigging: industry‑standard systems and safe‑work practices

You don’t need to be a full‑time operator — but you must understand the equipment well enough to quote accurately, communicate with crews, and ensure technical feasibility.

Hands‑on capability to operate equipment when required is highly valued.

Ideal Candidate

  • Passionate about live production and event delivery

  • Reliable, professional, and calm under pressure

  • Strong communicator with a customer‑first mindset

  • Confident working across venues, festivals, and corporate environments

  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Available for flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and festival seasons

Experience Required

  • 2–3 years in live production account management, production technician, production coordination, or venue/event management

  • Proven experience working with professional live production equipment

  • Ability to prepare accurate quotes and budgets based on technical requirements

  • Experience managing concerts, festivals, or corporate activations is highly regarded

⚠️ Important: This is a professional live production role.
Applicants with broadcast‑only or studio‑only backgrounds will not be considered.
