About the Role

The College is seeking an experienced and proactive Audio Visual (AV) Technician to join our Venue and Events team. The AV Technician is responsible for the delivery, operation and ongoing management of audio, visual and lighting systems that support College events, performances, assemblies and external venue hire activities. The role works closely with the Manager, Events & Venues and Venue Operations team, while collaborating with a wide range of academic, co‑curricular and support departments across the College.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Set up, operate and supervise audio, visual and lighting systems for College events, performances, assemblies and external functions
  • Provide live event support including mixing, lighting operation, vision switching and audio
  • Provide technical advice and solutions for events of varying scale, including outdoor and temporary venues
  • Manage and maintain the College’s audio, visual, lighting and associated technical assets
  • Coordinate and provide oversight of casual AV Assistants and Contractors

This role suits someone who enjoys working in a dynamic, people‑focused environment, balancing multiple priorities, supporting high‑profile events, and maintaining technical systems to a high standard of compliance. 

This is a full time position, working 37.5 hours Monday to Friday, noting some evening and weekend work will be required to support performances, ceremonies and special events.
